Day

1

Arrival & Visit Madrid
Arrival in Madrid. Panoramic tour through the old town beginning at Gran Via and visiting Plaza España, Calle Mayor, Puerta del Sol, and exploring the Habsburg's quarter around the Plaza de la Paja. We will also see the Puerta de Alcala and the Bullfight arena.

Welcome dinner and overnight in Madrid

2

Full day Madrid

Morning: Visit the imposing Royal Palace, the official residence of the Spanish Royal Family in Madrid but nowadays used only for state ceremonies.

Afternoon: Explore the magnificent Prado Museum, the main Spanish national art museum. It features one of the World's finest collections of European art, dating from the 12th to the early 19th century with masterpieces from Velázquez, Murillo, Goya, el Greco, Rafael, etc.

Possible dinner with Flamenco entertainment and overnight in Madrid

3

Monumental Avila and Segovia & its Jewish Quarters

Morning: Transfer to Ávila. See its monumental gates. Visit the San Vicente Basilica, the Cathedral, San Pedro Church, Don Samuel Synagogue and more parts of the Jewish Quarter.

Afternoon: Transfer to Segovia. Visit the Aqueduct and the Jewish Quarter with its former synagogues. Also the emblematic Alcázar Palace and its Gothic Cathedral.

Overnight in Segovia.

 

 

 

 

Day

4

Spectacular Toledo Jewish Heritage

Transfer to Toledo, the famous city "of the three cultures".

Afternoon: Full day dedicated to Del Tránsito Synagogue, which is famous because of its rich stucco decoration, and Santa Maria La Blanca Synagogue, which is considered the oldest synagogue building in Europe still standing. El Greco's House will also be visited.

Dinner with Jewish Traditional Music optional. Overnight in Toledo
